Meet Jody!

Name: Jody Galbreath

Job: Project Coordinator

Years with Southeastern: 2 and half years

Why do you LOVE your job? My background is architectural design and project management. I had worked with David on several commercial buildings in the past when, I lost my job in the architectural industry. David was gracious enough to hire me on a contract bases and then full time. I appreciate the opportunity that SE has given me specifically David.

If you didn't do your job here at Southeastern, who's would you want to do? Probably one of the real estate sales folks. I’ve always had an interest in the real estate market.

What is your favorite Southeastern floorplan? I like the St. Clair and Indian Ridge Lot 65 (a custom built home) I had a lot of input in the design of that particular one.

What is something most people might not know about you? I enjoy riding dirt bikes with my kids.

Jody is the quietest one here at Southeastern and has the biggest office here at the mansion lol! Jody has 4 kids and should always be tired, but he is always here smiling (with a cup of coffee in hand!)

Meet Prissy!

Name: Prissy Maier

Job: REALTOR!

Years with Southeastern: 1 year, 5 months

Why do you LOVE your job? I love my job at SE. It doesn't feel like a job, because I love working with buyers. I am very much a people pleaser!

If you didn't do your job here at Southeastern, who's would you want to do? I would like to do Beth's job, but only the fun stuff like helping customers with selections (paint colors, granite, flooring picks) and decorating model homes. That would be right up my alley! I would also want to do Phillips job (our superintendent). It would be interesting being out in the construction field. Knowing the process from start to finish.

What is your favorite Southeastern floorplan? The St. Clair II (the NEW Stonecrest model and a obvious fav here at SE) fabulous kitchen! I also like the Porter in Kennesaw Farms.

What is something most people might not know about you? My favorite sport in HOCKEY! I love music and I love to draw- sketch art, paint and create!

Prissy is defiantly the most friendly person at Southeastern! She is always happy and ready to talk about anything! We are sure home buyers LOVE Prissy, because of her great personality and love for what she does!

On Friday we had the honor of closing a beautiful new home for the Smith's at Kennesaw Farms! They were a pleasure to work with and the home is stunning. We are very excited for our new homeowners!

Meet Kim!

Name: Kim Walker

Job: Purchasing and Contractor Administrator

Years with Southeastern: 8

Why do you LOVE your job? I love the variety of responsibilities, everyday is different. I also love my co-workers, most everyone past and present have been wonderful to work with and I've made some great friends.

If you didn't do your job here at Southeastern, who's would you want to do? I would be a REALTOR because I enjoy working with customers on finding their perfect home. (Everyone wants Tom's glamorous lifestyle- hehe!)

What is your favorite Southeastern floorplan? The William (our one story plan in Stonecrest) and the Brookshire (a favorite from way back! We have built versions of the Brookshire in Saundersville, Stonecrest, Monthaven Green, Walton Trace, Wyncrest.... we might go on forever!) Great plan!

What is something most people might not know about you? At work I go nonstop but as soon as I leave the office I am lazy and procrastinate. (see below- this is a shocker!) I'm totally different person than most people would expect! (Kim is also a avid boater! You will surely see her on Old Hickory Lake most weekends!)

Kim is not only one of the busiest team members here at Southeastern, but the most caring. She is the first to ask everyone how they are, or what fun things they did over the weekend. On the work side, Kim pays the bills and orders the materials to build all of the fabulous homes here! Kim has one of the best offices here at Southeastern, next to me :)

Why do you LOVE your job? I have been in New Home Sales for 12 years. I enjoy working for Southeastern because David and the employees make it a fun, enjoyable and entertaining place to work. The quality and construction of the homes Southeastern Builds far exceeds that of any other builders in the industry, from start to finish I enjoy helping buyers build their Dream Home. I enjoy getting up every morning and coming to work. (we can not comment at this time on if Eileen was given a bonus for this!)

If you didn't do your job here at Southeastern, who's would you want to do? I would love to do Phillips job (our favorite Superintendent at Southeastern!), I would love to know the more intricate details of what is involved start to finish in building a home.

What is your favorite Southeastern floorplan? I love all of Southeastern's floorplans, but 2 of the newer floor plans the Meade and St. Clair are at the top of my list. The Meade which is a one level Villa that has generous cabinets and counter space in the kitchen and is very open which makes the plan feel much bigger. The Meade is a well laid out plan with great use of square footage and space. The St. Clair can be built in many ways including 2 bedrooms on the main floor, the massive kitchen is a Chefs Dream and the flexibility this plan offers makes it tops in my book.

What is something most people might not know about you? I am a pretty good Bass and Carppy fisher and I can run 2 miles in 20 Minutes! I enjoy a long bike ride in the Station Camp area when the weather is nice. My application was accepted to the Peace Corp and I was writing my essay when I met my husband. Needless to say the Peace Corp has been put on hold for 21 years.

Eileen always goes the extra mile for Southeastern's customers. There is no stone Eileen will leave unturned for them! When you talk with Eileen she always has some good news about the Women's Council of Realtors or is excited about spending time with her boys.

Meet Cal!

Name: Cal Gentry

Job: VP of Land Development

Why do you LOVE your job? I enjoy finding new and creative ways to solve challenges presented in this job.

If you didn't do your job here at Southeastern, who's would you want to do? Tommy, our Broker, I enjoy interacting with customers and would enjoy matching families with the right home. (If you read last week, Tom wanted to be Cal! Do you think they talked!)

What is your favorite Southeastern floorplan? The St. Clair II (the NEW Stonecrest model) I live in a similar Southeastern plan. (Hum, did Tom and Cal coordinate again!)

What is something most people might not know about you? I doubt many people know I am a Handyman. I can fix plumbing, electrical, and carpentry related issues. (Just call Cal for your handyman needs!)

Cal is one of the happiest team members here at Southeastern. You will typically find Cal hanging out in the hallway on his cell phone because he gets "bad reception" or working on our various Commercial or Land Development projects. He is currently building his own brand new Southeastern home and is eager to sell his current home.

December 23, 2011 - Sales of newly built, single-family homes edged up 1.6 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 315,000 units in November, according to newly released figures by the U.S. Commerce Department. This marks the third consecutive monthly gain in new-home sales and the fastest pace of such activity since April.

Why do you LOVE your job? I really enjoy meeting new people everyday and selling homes that I really believe in. I like helping people make their dreams come true.

If you didn't do your job here at Southeastern, who's would you want to do? Cal (our Land Development Manager or Land Geek) I would like to know more about land and commercial development. I enjoying learning new parts of the operation of the company.

What is something most people might not know about you? I play the Guitar

New Year Updates!

Happy New Year everyone! We hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season and the happiest of new years!

Thank you to everyone who helped make 2011 a great year and we are very excited about all of the new and exciting happenings in 2012. We recently broke ground in Murfressboro on a brand new community Barfield Downs, to start the spring season off with a bang! We will also begin homes in Otter Point in Hendersonville later this month, as well as, Bradley Bend in Pleasent View. We will still will offer amazing homes at a great value in our communities of Wynbrooke, Stonecrest, Kennesaw Farms, Cottages and Saundersville Station.
